The world we live in now has changed dramatically compared to what it was five years ago. Today people have a much greater need for the right information, access to all kinds of media and world cultures. The importance of public and cultural diplomacy can no longer be underestimated.
Britain has a thriving arts scene, rich history, diverse heritage, unique culture, dynamic media and excellent artistic, media and literary personalities. London is increasingly becoming the cultural capital of the world.
Liberatum aims to connect Britain's finest cultural and media minds with the rest of the world through world-class festivals and significant cultural celebrations. Our objective is to further strengthen relations between different countries and the United Kingdom through the power of arts. Our successful ventures have taken place in countries as diverse as Russia, Papua New Guinea, Morocco and India. Liberatum's future festivals will be held in Jordan, Argentina, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Turkey among other countries. Our vision is to bring together leading arts, media and literary figures from Britain and other countries in order to create innovative ideas, thought provoking projects and fascinating events.
Past guests have included many renowned and eminent authors, actors, historians, business figures, media personalities, diplomats, political icons, artists and musicians such as Annie Lennox, Sir Richard Branson, Goldie Hawn, Alan Yentob, Clare Short, Shekhar Kapur, Janet Street-Porter, Benjamin Zephaniah, Stephen Frears, Shashi Tharoor, Jon Snow and Hanif Kureishi.
